MBA - Summer Internship
Background
OYA is changing the way soft skills are taught at companies. That is because soft skills help people work together better. Soft skills make happy teams as well as create a fun culture and a flexible company.
OYA enables people to improve these important skills in less than 5min a day. We allow leaders to shape and change the company culture for everyone’s benefit.
Did you know?
58% of managers say they never receive manager training!
Soft skills improve a team and company performance by up to 12%. That’s half a day of work a week.
Young millennials and gen Z prefer real-time communication and collaboration tools, such as chat and google docs. These are the people who are now becoming managers.
We want to make it exciting and fun to improve these essential business skills. Skills that will stay with someone for life.
OYA’s interactive, gamified training process is delivered through a chat interface, such as Slack or Microsoft-teams. The business is young, and with that comes the rush of building something new. You will be joining a small team that is onboarding new clients and learning as we go.
The Role
OYA is a young company with a lot of needs. As an MBA student, you will be helping us turn our research and data into amazing material for clients and future investors.
There will be 3 core areas you will be leading:
Competitors: The way we talk about our industry and competitors needs your help.
Investors: Helping us identify potential investors who are relevant and active in our space.
Clients: We are lucky to be rich in data, but ensuring we are communicating all the cool stuff we have is a challenge. Helping us tell the story to our clients needs your help.
What you will be doing day-to-day:
Creating interesting, relevant and compelling presentations, slides and marketing material that will speak to our clients and future investors.
Reviewing and adding to our existing industry research.
Presenting your findings to the CEO and iterating based on feedback
Requirements
This role requires someone who loves transforming data and research into cool, interesting material to show clients and investors.
Core requirements:
You are currently a student studying an MBA at a top ranked business school.
You are interested in doing a summer internship at a startup.
Key skills we will look for:
Ability to summarise and format.
Story-telling.
Be able to understand the business and client needs behind what you are buiding.
Ability to follow a specific design template. We have brand guidelines in place, so everything needs to align.
Comfortable working in English.
Nice to haves:
A keen eye for design.
What we are NOT after:
Someone who doesn’t believe soft skills are important.
A crazy data monkey. We already have one.
Someone who wants to completely redesign our brand, use their own templates and insist that we use size 12 Times New Roman font because that is what you have always used, and it worked at your old company, but one person in your MBA team hates it, so there are always arguments about it, but you think they are a fool and you have won every time, but even when you didn’t win, you go in and change the font anyway, just before the presentation so no one noticed, which means that the presentation goes well, all because the team did it your way.
Benefits
We want to make OYA a fun and interesting place to work. We can offer:
Paid internship for the summer.
Ability to learn important new tools that are changing the tech industry.
Flexible hours (we have daily check-in, but it can work to your schedule).
Full access to OYA course material. Yes, you will be expected to develop your soft skills!

If we like your answers in the cover letter, we will invite you to have a 45-60min video call with us.
You may need to meet 1 more person (depending on the exact situation) and then that is it.
